The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It’s a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn’t utilize LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
1. iRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top rated robot vacuum-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and plenty of features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. It can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the push of a button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or Best Robot Vacuum and Mop two detailed maps of your home to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.
This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn’t lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It’s a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It’s the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug furniture and walls. It’s a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. It’s a nice premise, however, we’re not convinced it’s enough to justify the premium price tag.
Its smart navigation system employs sensors that keep track of your home’s layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vac settings are just as efficient as those found on higher-end models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
It’s only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that’s not a major issue if you want to own one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you’ve got the most dirt.
For the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or watch television without being distracted. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move away when it encounters one.
What sets the Q Revo apart is that it’s designed to operate almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something needs attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or there’s clutter that must be cleaned out regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best robot mop and vacuum combo performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even remove wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you’d expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, as well as an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them fresh and ready for reuse. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement to the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive–it’s nearly two feet in height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds–the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.
Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and voice assistant that operates offline, which means you can manage it even when not home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a specific path.
The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we’ve tested, due to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium robot vacuum and mop that comes with a host of convenience features that you aren’t likely to find on robots at this price. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different flooring types. It’s also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice however they can make the L10s more of a class of luxury. This could mean it’s more expensive than what homeowners would need.
It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you’ll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The control panel includes an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will bring up the app’s settings menu where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops also work well and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It wasn’t as effective in removing sand from our hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
