There’s a robot that can be found for every carpet type, whether it’s low-pile or high-pile. These smart appliances will navigate your home in a way that is automated clean up debris and vacuum robot mop clean under furniture.

iRobot Roomba 694″

The Roomba 694 from iRobot is an entry-level robot vacuum that performs well on both carpets with a low pile or bare floor. It is effective in cleaning pet hair, but it isn’t as resistant to knots as premium Roomba models like the j7 and I6.

The Roomba is simple to use. You can control it via an app on your smartphone that lets you to schedule cycles, stop and start them, and alter settings. This vacuum is a little slower than others, but it’s still able to reach most corners and crevices. It comes with a large bin which makes it much easier to empty. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers which lets you program the robot to stay out of certain areas or to stop cleaning completely to stop it from becoming stuck.

It’s not the top for its price, but it’s still superior to other models. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning capability than the Roomba 694 and it is able to clean both carpets with low pile as well as bare. It also has an efficient cleaning route and has a longer battery life. It is also more robust, has fewer components that require regular maintenance, is priced less over its lifetime and charges faster than 694.

It’s also worth looking at other, more premium models within the iRobot range, such as the 981 or the v7. The v7 and 981 are more expensive, but they have significant improvements in cleaning performance both on bare and low pile floors. They also have a larger dirt compartment and charge faster, move more easily and are easier to pair up with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This self-emptying robot with a budget does a decent job on hard floors as well as carpets with a low pile. The combination brush is able to reach corners and edges, and then automatically boosts suction once it detects carpet. It also does a great job of cleaning embedded dirt off carpet in the middle. The IQ’s small dock footprint and self-emptying feature are nice touches. If you’d like to change the floor levels or set zones that aren’t allowed, you’ll have to manually reset the map.

The IQ’s application has advanced mapping and automation features however, it’s not able to access no-go zones that are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing navigational system gives you superior maneuverability and its high-pile carpet mode is clean well, though it tends to get caught up on rug tassels. Its iHome speaker allows you to operate the robot by voice commands.

During our tests, we discovered that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to remove the majority of hair on floors that were unfinished, and a fair amount on medium-pile rug. It was less effective with shag carpets, as it struggled to get at dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It was able to maneuver the legs of a chair, tiny spaces, and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice that it was a little slower on bare floors but it quickly recovered and performed better than the other robots we tried.

The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most uses. It has a larger dustbin and a longer battery life and is more adept at navigating obstacles. It has mopping tools that are able to remove sticky debris. On the other side, the iRobot is built better and has fewer parts that require maintenance or replacement and incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance and can even create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It is able to even resume a cleaning session from where it left off in case it is unable to recharge its battery prior to having completed the task. The iRobot can be controlled by voice, which is a major benefit for many users.

Eufy 11S

The RoboVac 11S by eufy isn’t exactly the most feature-rich robot mop vacuum vacuum available but it does provide powerful cleaning capabilities at a low price. It’s designed for budget-conscious buyers who don’t require a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. This robot can last for more than an hour. It includes a remote control, cleaning tool and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim and sleek, and features a tempered-glass upper deck that resembles the brushed appearance of aluminum. It’s a nice contrast to Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more practical and industrial.

In our tests, the eufy 11S was excellent at picking up larger particles and fine dust on hard flooring. However, it struggled to give medium and high pile carpets a thorough clean. The device has a tendency to bump into people and furniture in its path. However, it can detect obstacles with sensors. It stops and emits a loud noise when it encounters an obstacle. Then, you can manually guide the device around it to return it to working.

Another excellent feature of the eufy11S is its BoostIQ mode that lets you set the robot to automatically adjust its suction strength to match the floor type and the level of the mess. It’s also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S where you’d like it to go.

If you don’t have many furniture in the area you want to vacuum Robot Mop Single Room Mode is an excellent option. The eufy will take 30 minutes focusing on cleaning the area it is assigned to.

Edge Cleaning is another option that can limit the time spent on each area to a maximum of 20 minutes. This will increase battery life. This feature allows the eufy to move in a spiraling fashion by cleaning edges and corners.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robotic vacuum that can be a great performer on carpet. Its performance on floors that are not bare is also impressive. It can remove fine debris like rice with ease and doesn’t lose suction efficiency even as its dirt bin gets full. Its air-sealed design and allergy-friendly design traps allergens and keep your family healthy. It comes with an onboard HEPA and self-emptying bin so you don’t need additional filters or a vacuum bag.

It’s not as powerful as more expensive models, but it’s ideal for fighting staining and deep cleaning. Its two front cameras deliver live feeds of images on your smartphone, and it comes with one of the top obstacle avoidance systems we’ve seen. It comes with a large bin, an extended runtime and the ability to clean up quickly and without bumps.

Contrary to other robots the Complete C1 can switch between the standard powerhead and the turbo head for different types of floors. The turbo head is ideal for carpeting that is high-pile and low-pile and the standard powerhead works well on floors that are unfinished and light carpets. The powerhead is also easy to maneuver and can reach tough spots. It comes with five levels of surface adjustments and an off-brush switch to avoid hairs getting caught in tangles.

The Classic C1 also has a self-cleaning brush roll as well as an UtraClean mode that goes around the same area three times for the best possible clean and a self-emptying bin that can be empty at the push of the button.
